The Nonbinary Cantor's’ Concert Series
Cantor Goldstein, alongside fellow trailblazers Cantors Kalix Jacobson and Ze’evi Tovlev, have taken it upon themselves to be the representation in the Jewish Music world that they themselves have always wanted to see — elevating their work as clergy, as composers, and as thought leaders by coming together and highlighting the strengths of trans and nonbinary voices in Judaism.
Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion covered the very first of this concert series that occurred in Pittsburgh, PA on November 20, 2026 in an article titled: “Joy in the Rotunda: Three Trans Cantors Make Their Mark on the Jewish World”

Cantor Goldstein’s voice and the ensemble they co-founded while working at Congregation Beth Chaim (with Sheila Carpenter of Antioch Baptist Church) are featured throughout this documentary on the interfaith partnership the two communities built starting in 2021.
“In an unprecedented attempt to heal centuries of racism and antisemitism, and combat the rising racial and ethnic tension in their Brooklyn communities, activist Rabbi Rachel Timoner teams up with Baptist Reverend Robert Waterman to unite their congregations. As their faith is put to the test, both congregations struggle to not let their differences drive them apart.“
